Sherry Lynn Heavner Trammell, age 67 of Cherryville, passed away Monday, January 1, 2024, at Wendover Hospice House. She was born August 24, 1956, in Cleveland County to Vergie Lorene Willis Heavner and the late Ralph Lewis Heavner. She was a member of Missionary Methodist Church. Sherry enjoyed buying jewelry and talking with her friends and family. She was a caregiver with a big heart who loved to care for others.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Shellie Heavner Jones.
Survivors include her husband, Charles “Ray” Trammell; son, Bo Trammell; mother, Vergie Heavner; sister, Beth and Scott Edwards; grandchildren, Christian Scott Jones and wife, Haley and Daniel Jones; great-granddaughter, Mara Grace Jones; and special friends, Nathalee Kaylor and Lisa Powell.
The family will receive friends Thursday, January 4, 2024, from 2:00 to 2:45 PM at Missionary Methodist Church. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 PM with Rev. Bobby Holtsclaw officiating. Burial will be private.
