Steven Leroy Pittillo, age 74, of Shelby, passed away December 30, 2025, at his home. Steven was born May 26, 1951, in Burke County, to the late Hoyt Lee Pittillo and the late Essie “Jean” Lee Pittillo-Clay.
Steve worked as a supervisor for Dye House for 40 years. He enjoyed computers, construction, roofing, bricklaying, and carpentry work. Steve was a jack of all trades. He also loved fishing and hunting.
Steve was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Jean and D.H. Clay; father and stepmother, Hoyt and Jean Pittillo; wife of 24 years, Robyn Marie Hodge Pittillo; and brothers, Sam Pittillo, and Mike Pittillo.
Survivors include his son, Chuck Daniel Pittillo (Angela); grandchildren, Steven Daniel Pittillo, Alexandria White (Chris), Daniel Pittillo, Christian Fullbright, Chuck Daniel Pittillo, Jr., Ezabel Pittillo, Jaxxon Pittillo, and Allen Ray Armstrong; great grandchildren, Jack Daniel Durbin, Hennessy White, and Addyson White; and cat, Willow.
In accordance with Steve’s wishes, no formal services are scheduled.
