Sherry (Hicks) Williams, age 72, of Louisville passed peacefully to her heavenly home on November 8, 2024. Sherry was a retired, long-time, dedicated employee of the U of L Dental School. Previous to the dental school, she worked in private practice as an assistant with Dr. Saul Schenker in Jeffersonville, IN. Sherry also owned and operated "Balloons, Balloons, Balloons" on St. Andrews Church Rd. for several years. Sherry spent many weekends working at the Charlestown Motor Speedway and the Louisville Motor Speedway.
Sherry was a loyal and loving friend to many. She cherished her friendships, many of which were life long.
Sherry was preceded in death by her parents Elvin and Myrtle (VanderEspt) Hicks, sisters Arlene Barker and Sandy Vertrees, brothers Donald Hicks and Roger Hicks.
She is survived by her sons Kevin Hicks (Kelli) and Tim Hicks (Crystal Sawyers); sisters Bobbie Aubrey (John), Judith Eaton and Peggy Beard (David); her precious grandchildren and her very special great-grandchildren; and many other cherished family members.
Her funeral service will be at 12 pm Monday, November 18, 2024 at Owen Funeral Home - Jeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Rd., with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 pm Sunday, November 17 at Owen Funeral Home - Jeffersontown.
