Sherryl “Sherry” Jane Scheurman, 81, formerly of Campbellsport went peacefully to her heavenly home on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at Hope health and Rehabilitation Center in Lomira. She was born on June 21, 1944 on the family homestead in the Town of Auburn, the daughter of Buell and Valeria (nee Scheid) Scheurman.
After graduating from Campbellsport High School, Sherry continued her education eventually gaining a Master’s Degree with a focus on music. Sherry taught for many years and also playing organ at a number of churches including the Campbellsport United Church of Christ and Salem United Church of Christ in Wayne where she was a member.
Sherry was a great animal lover including Walter, her pig, all farm animals, and her cats. She enjoyed playing bingo and dominos and always blessed everyone
Survivors include her nieces and nephews Dawn (Tom) Kind, Tami (Brian) Klumpyan, Terri (Tom) Ward, John (Tina) Uelmen, and Tim Uelmen, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Sherry was preceded in death by her parents Buell and Valeria, sister Julaine Uelmen, brothers-in-law Jack and Bud, nephew Tom Uelmen, and her cat Kitty.
Visitation for Sherry will be Wednesday, January 7, 2026 from 10:00 to 11:30 am at the Twohig Funeral Home, 109 W. Main St. Campbellsport.
Funeral services will follow at 11:30 am at the funeral home with Pastor Ruth Hansen officiating and burial in Union Cemetery, Campbellsport.
The family extends a special thank you to Colleen Simon and the nurses and staffs of Legacy Hospice, SSM Hospice, and Hope Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Memorials are appreciated to Salem United Church of Christ.
