Richard “Dick” Mathew Kohn, age 83 years, of West Bend was unexpectedly called home to be with the Lord on November 24, 2025.

Dick was born on March 30, 1942, in Campbellsport to Franklin and Myrtle Kohn (Hodge). He met Judith “Judy” Abel in high school. They were united in marriage on August 14, 1965, at St. Lucas Lutheran Church in Kewaskum. Judy was the love of his life, and they were married for nearly 60 years.

Dick graduated from Campbellsport High School in 1960, where he lettered in football. He proudly served in the United States Army Reserve from 1964 – 1970 and had a deep abiding love for his country and its history. Dick worked at Gehl Company for 43 years and retired as an Information Technology Operations Supervisor. He was a member of the West Bend Barton Sportsman Club where he enjoyed target shooting with friends and family. He also enjoyed playing Sheepshead, gardening, and walking. Dick was a talented woodworker and created numerous pieces of furniture for his home and his family. He especially enjoyed meticulously planning perfect road trips with his family all over the United States.

Dick was baptized later in life in 1965, having been brought to faith by Judy, and was an active member of Good Shepherd for over 45 years. He enjoyed Bible classes, studying scripture, and had a deep love for his faith.

Dick devoted himself to his family, who were the center of his life. He shared his work ethic with his children and wanted to make sure they would be strong and independent. Dick shared his knowledge and time willingly and was always there to help.

Those Dick leaves behind to cherish his memory include his two children, Scott (Kristin) Kohn of Livermore, California, and Amy (Doug) Endlich of West Bend; three grandchildren, Kyle Endlich, Mackenzie Endlich, and Beckett Kohn; brother, Thomas (Gloria) Kohn; sister, Konnie (Mark) Schoofs; and sisters-in-law, Jean (John) Kuhaupt and Judy (Mario) Smalls. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Kohn, and brother, Donald Kohn.

VISITATION: Dick’s family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 1:30 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church, 777 S. Indiana Avenue, West Bend, WI 53095.
