Sherryl Yvonne Seay

Sherryl Yvonne Seay of Louisville, age 70, amazing mother of four, and loving wife to Michael Seay, passed away in the afternoon hours on the 14th of June 2022 after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Sherry was born in 1951 in Louisville where she grew up with her younger brother Marc and loved to spend her days with her grandmother, Lucy. From her family, she learned the importance of love and developed a nurturing spirit that she incorporated in all elements of her life, specifically as a Mom and Nanner.
Sherry's joy in life was her family. She adored her 8 grandchildren and had dedicated herself to experiencing life with her 4 daughters and husband of 52 years. There was no better example of a mother and grandmother than Sherry. She left a legacy by showing her family what truly matters in life and creating an unbreakable family unit. Her compassion, spirit, infectious smile, and love for life will continue through her daughters and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Vancampen and Peggy and Ralph Frazee; son, Jonathan Seay; and son-in-law, Jason Winders.
Sherryl is survived by her husband, Michael Seay; children, Jennifer Hunt (Drew), Heather Winders, Ashley Panknin (Eric) and Elizabeth Scott (Brian); grandchildren, Lucy and Wyatt Hunt; Hope Dunaway; Sutton and Emerson Panknin; and Callan, Beckham and Crew Scott; and brother, Marc Vancampen (Wanda).
Sherry was an active, dedicated member of Hikes Point Christian Church and retired from UPS Custom House Brokerage after 25 years of service.
A private memorial service will be held.
