Sheryl Witte-Snyder of Philadelphia, PA passed away on June 28th, 2025 after a long battle with dementia. She was 71 years old. Sheryl was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Paul and Dorothy (nee Kunkle) Witte. She is survived by her loving husband Charles L. Snyder; her children Colin (Heather) Snyder and Shannon (Paul) Mizvitowicz; her grandchildren Blake and Brielle Snyder, Hailey and Wesley Mizvitowicz; and her siblings Paul "Sandy" (the late Shirley) Witte and James (Madge) Witte. Sheryl is also lovingly remembered by her extended family, including her in-laws: Mary Ann (Norm) Ducharme, Rose (Tom) Watkins, Bob Snyder, the late John (Nancy) Snyder, Jim (Doris) Snyder, and Helen (Jim) Halpin, along with many cherished nieces and nephews.
Sheryl graduated from Northeast High School in 1971. After graduation, she spent time traveling overseas and especially enjoyed exploring the East Coast in her parents' RV. Throughout her career, Sheryl worked for PSFS, the Holy Redeemer Visiting Nurse Agency, and later found joy serving as a lunch aide at Saint Cecilia Parish School in Fox Chase. She had a special connection with the children there, often volunteering her time to help first graders learn to read. Sheryl had a deep love for animals-especially her beloved dogs Ginger, Chelsea, and Cali, and her cats Ashes and Chance. Her home was always open to a variety of pets, as she warmly welcomed the many animals her children brought home over the years.
Relatives and friends are invited to Sheryl's Viewing on Monday July 7th, 2025 from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Dean-Geitner-Givnish Funeral Home 7900 Oxford Ave, Philadelphia PA 19111 and on Tuesday July 8th, 2025 from 9:30 AM until the time of her Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church 535 Rhawn St., Philadelphia PA 19111.
