In Loving Memory of Sherylene Davis (White)
Sherylene Davis (White), beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, was born on June 22, 1963, in Columbus, Ohio, to James and Gwynethel White. Surrounded by her loved ones, she passed away at the age of 62.
She is survived by her devoted mother, Gwen White; mother-in-law, Michaeline Davis; loving husband, Carlin Davis; daughters, Shayla Salamino (Phillip) and Shania Davis; grandchildren, Farah Mask and Phoenix Salamino; and her sisters, Sharon Sims (Floyd), Karen Burnette, and Jacqueline White & Monica Wade. She also leaves behind a host of cherished aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, James White, and her grandparents, Sallie Rowe and Oliver and Gwynethel Wade.
A proud graduate of Brookhaven High School, Sherylene was a spirited cheerleader and made history as the school's first African American Homecoming Queen. She attended Central State University, spent time in Los Angeles, and eventually returned to Columbus, where she built a rewarding career in medical billing and coding, serving over a decade at Sedgwick.
Sherylene's vibrant spirit, unforgettable laugh, and joyful heart made her the life of every room. Her bond with her sisters-affectionately known as "The White Sisters"-was filled with endless love and laughter. She treasured her lifelong friendship with Debbie and Donna Turner and the entire Turner family, who were more like extended family. She also held dear her work family, Santana and Kaye, who stood faithfully by her side.
In later years, she returned to school at Columbus State Community College and embraced her love of travel. A loyal Golden State Warriors fan, she never missed a game and proudly called Steph Curry her "son." She also found joy in casino visits and long, meaningful conversations with those she loved.
A special thank-you to Raven Matthews-her beloved love bug-who has been in her life since she was a little girl and provided constant care, comfort, and love.
Sherylene's presence was a gift, her love a blessing, and her legacy lives on in all who had the joy of knowing her.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Sherylene, please visit our Tree Store.
