Shirley Bumpus Obituary
Born in Wareham, she was the daughter of the late Linwood & Madeline (Rider) Greeley. Mrs. Bumpus moved to Wareham in 1967 and was a resident of Pinehurst Beach.
She worked for H.L. Bouton in Buzzards Bay, and as a cashier for Wareham Pharmacy, Walmart and most recently the former Benny's in Wareham. She has also worked for Tak Systems in Wareham.
Mrs. Bumpus enjoyed spending time connecting with friends on Facebook, and pogo.com. She also enjoyed watching The Price is Right, and word search puzzles.
She is survived by her children, Diana DeMatteo and her husband Lee of Wareham and Benjamin F. Bumpus and his wife Kelly of Weare, NH; her sister, Susanne Anzaldi of Sherman, ME and her grandson, Joshua Enloe. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, the late Linwood Greeley, Jr. and Carolyn Wilcox.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Saturday, August 5, 2023 from 10 to 11 AM at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – Wareham, 2599 Cranberry Hwy. (Rt. 28), Wareham. A memorial service will follow at 11 AM.
