Shirley and Bob moved to Chicago in the early 1960's before relocating to Los Angeles. They had their first son, Bradley, in 1964. They had their second son, Blake, in 1970. The family then moved to Sacramento in 1974 where they lived for 26 years.
Shirley was a records clerk at a middle school in Sacramento for close to 20 years before retiring in 2000. Shirley, Bob and Brad moved back to their Minnesota roots in 2000. Shirley and Brad lived in Alexandria for 21 years. Shirley and Brad moved to Portland to be closer to Blake. Shirley had a great relationship with Don the farmer after Bob's passing.
Some of Shirley's hobbies include music, where she was a majorette at Wheaton High School. She played the Baritone horn in high school as well. She picked up the horn a few years later and was in a band called "Make a Joyful Noise." They would play retirement homes as well as community events in the Alexandria area. She loved going on drives and traveling.
She will be sorely missed.
