Shirley Fain Obituary

Shirley graduated from Emmetsburg High School. On February 7, 1954 she was united in marriage to Eldon Fain at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Eventually the couple made their home in Estherville, where Shirley raised their sons, was an aide at the Estherville Schools and worked at the Iowa Trust and Savings Bank. After Eldon's death in 2020, Shirley moved to Hutchinson to be closer to her son.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Methodist Women. Shirley enjoyed antiques, baking and playing bridge.
Shirley is survived by her sons Jeff (Mary A.) Fain of Hutchinson, MN and Barry (Mary C.) Fain of Springville, Iowa; grandchildren, Brian, Brent and Brad Fain and Justin (Taylor) Fain; great-grandsons, Michael Fain, Hudson Fain and Paxton Fain.
Shirley is preceded in death by her husband Eldon, parents Harvey and Susan McQuown, sisters Dorothy Phelps, Bertha Wichman, Carol Reese, and brother Lee McQuown.
