Shirley A. Galvin, of Medford, formerly of Malden, November 2nd. Beloved wife of the late John H. Galvin, Jr. Mother of John M. Galvin and his wife Elizabeth of Reading, Lisa P. Hakar and her husband Neal of Billerica and Karen A. Cunha and her husband Tony of Candia, New Hampshire. Grandmother of Isabella, Catarina, Juliette, Lilliana, Jonathan, John Jr. and Makayla. Sister of Donald DiGiovanni of Derry, New Hampshire and the late Raymond and Paul DiGiovanni. Sister-in-law of Wilda DiGiovanni of Melrose. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Shirley was raised and educated in Malden. She is a graduate of Malden High School. For many years, she worked as a clerk at the Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. She also worked at Louisa's Ravioli Company in Malden. First and foremost, Shirley was a homemaker who enjoyed the company of her family. Relatives & friends are invited to attend her funeral from the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden on Friday November 7th at 9 AM followed by her Funeral Mass celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden at 10 AM. Services will conclude with interment in Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Thursday November 6th from 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
