Shirley Ann (Walker) Gossage, 84, of Dierks, Arkansas, died Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at her home.
She was born May 22, 1940, in Clayton, Oklahoma. She worked in housekeeping for the De Queen Hospital and in laundry for Nashville Nursing Home. She was a member of the Dierks First Assembly of God Church. She loved her church family, spending time with her grandchildren, and reading her Bible.
Mrs. Gossage was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Jewel (Uzzle) Walker; her husband, James Gossage; one daughter, Shelba Pipkins; two brothers, James Walker and Robert Walker and four sisters, Betty Jester, Wanda Fatherree, Avie Dowdy and Ginger Fatherree.
She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Sheila and Horacio Andrade, Angela and Poli Nava, and Joyce and Randy Grubbs, all of Dierks; one brother and sister-in-law, David and Lou Walker of Glenwood, Arkansas; 10 grandchildren, Andrea Briggins, Joshua Grubbs, Jeremy Grubbs, Victoria Elise, Nikki Pate, James Ward, Michael Nava. Luis Andrade, Danielle Keith, and Ricky Andrade; 16 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Gossage will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 13, 2024, at Dierks First Assembly of God Church, with Pastor Kevin Herrington officiating. Burial will follow in Dierks Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in Dierks.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, December 12th at the funeral home in Dierks
