Shirley Ann "Sis" Haney, 85, a lifelong resident of Washington Township, passed away peacefully Sunday, August 10, 2025.

Born June 21, 1940 in New Kensington, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Katherine (Hild) Haney. She was a graduate of the Washington Township High School Class of 1958.

Shirley was employed as an Operator by GTE/Verizon for many years. She worked at Tuck's Pizza in North Apollo as a hobby for several years.

Shirley enjoyed cutting her grass and socializing with her classmates at luncheons. She loved to spend time with her family and vacation at the "shore" at Cape May, NJ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Leland Haney.

She is survived by her niece, Lee Ann (Jason); nephew, Brian (Angela); great nephews, Jesse, Seth, Layton, Ryder; sister-in-law, Shirley "Swissy"; beloved cat, Charlie Snuggles; and numerous friends, neighbors, and cousins.

Lee Ann and Brian would like to extend their gratitude to AHN Hospice, her "girls" at QLS-Apollo and everyone who has been there during her final days -- visits, phone calls, meal deliveries -- it was all greatly appreciated!

Visitation will be held Sunday, August 17, 2025 in the Curran-Shaffer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Apollo, from 1:00 pm until the hour of the service at 4:00 pm with Pastor Greg Weidner officiating. Private burial in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
