Sharon Ann (Core) Hartman, 77, of Saltsburg, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 18, 2025, at Forbes Regional Hospital in Monroeville, surrounded by love.

Born October 3, 1947, in Columbus, Ohio, Sharon was the daughter of the late George L. and Jane B. (Schroeder) Core. She grew up in a close-knit family and graduated from St. Francis DeSales High School in 1965.

Family was always at the heart of Sharon's life. She was endlessly proud of her daughter, Bernice, and her greatest joy came from being "Grandma" to Anthony and Alyssa. She loved without condition and had a warm smile for everyone she met. Sharon also had a special bond with her granddog, Tucker, who visited often and brought her laughter and comfort.

Sharon's creativity was a true gift. Quilting was her passion, but she found joy in all kinds of crafts-sewing, ceramics, macramé, or any new project that sparked her interest. She loved sharing her handmade creations, each one carrying the same warmth and care that defined her relationships.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, George "Lee" Core Jr. and Lyle Core; and her sister, Linda Stillman.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Bernice A. (Anthony) Towchik of Plum; her grandchildren, Anthony M. (Nina) Towchik of Murrysville and Alyssa N. (fiancé James Popa) Towchik of Pleasant Hills; her sister, Mary Destefani of Dublin, Ohio; as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Those who knew Sharon will remember her gentle spirit, her creative hands, her love for others, and her playful sayings-especially her favorite: "See you later, alligator… after while, crocodile."

A private graveside service will be held at St. Matthew Cemetery in Saltsburg.
