Shirley Marie Kmiec, 75 of Chappell Hill died March 5, 2025.
She was born September 8, 1949 in Brenham to AP and Pauline Skweres Jozwiak. She was baptized as an infant in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church and later confirmed in the same church. She married Larry Kmiec on May 18, 1968.
Shirley loved being outdoors. She enjoyed fishing and gardening but most of all, she loved cooking for her family.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Larry Kmiec of Chappell Hill; her sons and daughters-in-law: Michael and Marcy Kmiec of Chappell Hill, Jason Kmiec and Rhonda Zientek of Houston; brother and sister-in-law: JJ and Renee Jozwiak of Chappell Hill, sister-in-law: Theresa Jozwiak of Brenham; grandchildren: Jordan and Devin McNeil, Gage Kmiec, Kaitlyn Kmiec, Kenzie and Isaac Finch; great-grandchild: Major McNeil; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Shirley is preceded by her parents; brother: Raymond Jozwiak; sister, Patricia Jozwiak; and mother-in-law: Mary Kmiec.
Visitation with the family will be Friday, March 7, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m.
At the family’s request, memorials may be given to the Chappell Hill Fire Department, P. O. Box 194, Chappell Hill, Texas 77426.
