Sylvia Kmiec Obituary

Sylvia was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey to the late Thomas and Lillian Lanzafame, and was a raised in Newark before moving to Belleville in adulthood, then to Rockaway in 1998 alongside her husband, Kenneth. Sylvia was a devout parishioner of St. Simon the Apostle Church for many years.
For many years Sylvia was employed at Mutual Benefit Life Insurance, and eventually opened her own business alongside her best friend, Joan.
Sylvia enjoyed many kinds of puzzles, especially crosswords. She enjoyed literature and spending her time reading. She was the kind of lady that was up for anything that caught her eye.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 24th from 4:00-8:00 PM at Whitham-kanpaux Funeral Home, 20 Keller Ave., Rockaway, New Jersey 07866. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, April 25, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Simon the Apostle Church. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
