Shirley Jean Kortz, 87, of Paducah passed away at 3:52 PM on Friday, May 30, 2025 at Providence Pointe Healthcare in Paducah.
Mrs. Kortz was a Banker, of the Catholic faith and a Cook at Community Kitchen. Shirley was in a homemaker's group, Bible study and enjoyed crocheting.
She is survived by one son, Stephen Thomas Kortz and wife Janice of Caulfield, MO; daughter, Marcia Ann Whitehouse and husband Fred of O'Fallon, MO; two brothers, Johnny Crenshaw, J.P. Crenshaw Jr.; four sisters, Martha Bell, Patricia Rohrer, Dianne Neblett, Emma Dixon; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Ellen Futrell; father, J.P. Crenshaw; husband, William J. Kortz Sr.; son, William J. Kortz Jr.; two sisters, Sherron Crenshaw, Barbara Nell Crenshaw; one brother, Michael Crenshaw.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 6, 2025 at Hughes Funeral Home in Paducah with Bro. Keith Tilford officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Paducah.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM to service time on Friday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions made to Paducah Community Kitchen, 1237 Martin Luther King Jr. Dr., Paducah, KY 42001.
