Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home - HebronShirley Ann (Floro) O’Dwyer, 82, of Union, Kentucky died unexpectedly on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at her home.
Shirley was born February 17, 1943, in Covington, Kentucky to the late Donald Duane and Norma Jean (Klaus) Floro. She began working for Western Southern Life Insurance Company but once her children came along, she became a devoted homemaker. After raising her family, Shirley began a career working part time in food service for Cincinnati Sports Service at the former Riverfront Stadium, now the Great American Ballpark. She thoroughly enjoyed working for the Reds and the Bengals.
Shirley attended Seven Hills Church, Florence and enjoyed crafting, traveling and just spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald Floro and Norma Jean Floro Clatfelter; and her former husband, Michael O’Dwyer, Sr. in 2024.
Survivors include her sons, Michael (wife, Michelle) O’Dwyer and Kevin (wife, Nikki) O’Dwyer; sister, Carol S. (husband, Jack) Redd; brother, Reverend Dr. Duane (wife, Deana) Floro; four grandchildren, Morgan O’Dwyer, Mason O’Dwyer, Mackenzie O’Dwyer and Ethan O’Dwyer; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation is Friday, October 10, 2025, 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, 1833 Petersburg Road, Hebron, Kentucky. Funeral services begin at 1:00 pm. at the funeral home. Interment to follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Taylor Mill, Kentucky.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the SAFY Adoption Agency of Cincinnati, 11590 Century Boulevard, # 116, Cincinnati, OH 45246.
