Mrs. Shirley Clary Pruett, age 85 of Shelby, NC, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, February 10, 2025.
She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Charles Roy Pruett of the home, her children, Myra Wright and husband Alan of Shelby, NC, and Lisa Brummett of Shelby, NC, grandchildren, Mark Flores and wife Katie of Shelby, NC, Kristin Malone and husband Brantley of Trinity, NC, Kayla Steadham and husband Chris of Shelby, NC, and Tycen Ward of Shelby, NC, great grandchildren, Audrey Malone, Ben Malone, and James Steadham, and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends, all of whom she loved dearly.
Born March 5, 1939, in Cleveland County, NC, Shirley was the daughter of the late Blando Clary and Myrtle Anthony Clary and was preceded in death by her son, Mark Pruett, and her brothers, Alvin Clary, Ben Clary, Henry Clary, Bill Clary, and Blando David Clary.
Shirley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a faithful member of Flint Hill Baptist Church. Shirley enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Throughout Shirley’s life, she was a dedicated caretaker to anyone that needed her help. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.
A funeral service will be held 1:00pm Friday, February 14, 2025, at Flint Hill Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Shane Kirby. A visitation will be held from 12:00pm – 1:00pm prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park.
