Shirley R Richardson, age 76, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2025. She was born on December 11,1948, in Gould, Arkansas, to Dave Burden and Mary Beatrice Pounds. At a young age, Shirley moved with her family to Kansas City, where she built a life rooted in the faith of God, family, and hard work. She graduated from Manual Vo-Technical School and later attended IBM School. Shirley began her career with Sears & Roebuck, where she worked faithfully until retirement. Never one to sit still, she went on to become a successful entrepreneur, starting and managing two of her own businesses. Shirley was a devoted member of the family's church Bethe Pentecostal, where her faith guided her daily life. She was united in marriage to Robert I Richardson, with whom she shared many years of love and devotion. She was preceded in death by her parents her beloved husband Robert, two sons, Anthony and Richard, four sisters, and two brothers. Shirley's legacy lives on through those who loved her most; her sons Curtis Foster and Marcus Foster (Leta), her sister Mary Jones (Artis), her sister-in-law Dorothy Pugh, and a host of cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends. Shirley will be remembered for her strength, her kindness, her smile, and her unwavering love for family and God. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of faith, determination, and resilience that will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her family and friends take comfort in knowing she is reunited with loved ones who have gone before her, and her spirit will forever remain in their hearts. Affectionately known as "LIL PUDDIN" Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025,11am Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel (chapel C). Interment Brooking Cemetery. Visitation from 10am-11am at the chapel. Services conducted by Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel. Condolences may be shared on our website.
