On June 19th 2024 Roland and Shirley Greuel went to their Eternal Home in Heaven, at the age of 84 and 79 years of age. Roland served his country in the United States Army during the Korea conflict and the Vietnam war. He was very passionate about his church, Bethany Ev. Lutheran in Hustisford WI and he was a member on the Wisconsin American Legion. He was very active in the Hartford American Post #19. Roland loved his wood working and turning out beautiful wooden bowls to give to people. Roland loved preparing and cooking the milk can meals for many families and friends.
Shirley was an active Red Hatter. She loved selling Avon products and made many friends by going house to house. She loved singing in the Bethany's choir and was an active with the Bethany's quilters. Shirley loved playing weekly cards with friends.
Roland and Shirley are survived by their children, Crystal Kunz, Rachel Nelson, Molly (Steve) Yahr, Kevin (Kitty) Greuel, Cornell Kunz, and Matthew (Tiffanie) Greuel, daughter-in-law Debbie Greuel; and their grandchildren Kyle, Tyler, Abbi, Tabitha, Travis, Dustin, Mason, Mitchell, Maxwell, Maclain, Tricia, Justin, Josslyne, Avery, Jaden, Olivia, and Logan and 16 great grandchildren, niece, nephews, and other friends. They are preceded in death by their sons Scott and Jay Greuel, son in law David Nelson, and grandchild Ryan Nelson. Shirley is preceded in death by her son, Conrad Kunz.
Visitation will be held Thursday June 27, 2024 at Bethany EV Lutheran Church in Hustisford WI from 4:00 - 6:30 PM and Friday June 28, 2024 from 10:30 - Noon. Memorial service will follow at Noon at Church with Rev. David Pries officiating. Interment will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Neosho WI at 3:00 PM. Military Honors for Roland will be under the auspices of United States Army and Hartford American Legion Post. The Berndt-Ledesma Funeral Home is serving the family.
