Shirley Vincent peacefully departed her home in Hickory Valley on May 2, 2025, at the age of 82. She was born February 23, 1943, to her parents, James Lewis Smith and Thelma Smith.
She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Billy Vincent, on July 16, 1962. She loved working in her vegetable garden and also her flowers. She loved cooking for her family and especially on the holidays. She loved putting her canned goods like jelly and pickles in the fair and then bringing home all of her blue ribbons. She loved listening ot Gospel songs. She loved people and loved talking to them. She will truly be missed by those who knew her. She loved her Lord and her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Lewis and Thelma Smith, her husband, Billy Vincent, her sister, Linda Smith, her brother, James Smith and sister-in-law, Jackie Smith. She leaves 4 children behind, Angela Passmore, Glenda Coston (Doyle), of Senatobia, MS, Norman Vincent of Saulsbury and Vickie Solis (Jimmy) of Saulsbury. Three granddaughters and one grandson, 3 great grandchildren, and a brother, Lawrence Smith and Cindy of Hickory Valley.
Shirley was a shining light to a dark day and her spirit will live on through the love she gave to all who knew her.
