Shirley Ann Sharp, 75, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at Robertson County Health Care Facility. She was born on May 11, 1950, in Mason County to the late James and Clara Bolden Williams.
Shirley was a loving mother to all five of her children from day one. She worked as a teacher's aid for several years at St. Patrick School before retiring. Shirley was a devout member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church where she proudly served and worshiped. She enjoyed cooking and helping people get where they needed to be. Shirley was always on the go, taxiing somebody, somewhere. Her witty and comical sense of humor never allowed for a dull moment when you were around her. Her presence and sweet smile will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to carry on her loving legacy are her children, Eugene (Trish) Lang of Columbus, Ohio, Anthony Lang of Maysville, Kentucky, Jamie (Amy) Lang of Maysville, Kentucky, Angela Tempke of Indiana, Sammy (Stephanie) Lang of Maysville, Kentucky; one brother, George Williams; sisters, Rose Lang, Darlene Clay, Brenda Morton, Josephine Williams, Phyllis Fletcher, Mary Williams; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of dear friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her four brothers, Charles, Clarence, Larry, and Jimmy Williams: one sister, Lillian Morton, and a very special aunt, Naomi Williams.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Calvary Temple Church in Maysville, KY with Rev. Randy Taylor officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until the time of service. Following the funeral service, a repast will be held for all friends and family at the church. Shirley will be laid to rest in May's Lick Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ricky Lang, Roy Lang, Patrick Tempke, William Brooks, Nathan Jerrell, and Robert Brooks. Honorary pallbearers are Anthony Lang, Eugene Lang, Jamie Lang, Sammy Lang, AJ Lang and Caden Lang.
