Shirley Marie (Cain) Wilson passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 with her loved ones by her side.
She is preceded in death by her precious and loving husband of 61 years, Reverend Danny Wilson. Together, they were Pastor and friend to many.
Shirley was a member of various churches throughout her years of pastoral care with her beloved husband. She was currently a faithful member of Lebanon Baptist Church. She loved cooking, baking, family get togethers, camping with loved ones, and a good cup of coffee. She will be remembered for her quick wit, sense of humor and unfailing love of family.
Shirley is also preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Naomi Cain; brothers and sisters, Alvan, Buford, Andrew (Chuck) Richard, Wilma, Darlene and Arlene.
Survivors include brother, Ken Cain and wife, Debbie; children, Eric (Joyce), Philip (Melissa), Aaron (Sarah) and her very special daughter, Danna; grandchildren, Cody, Emily (Derek), Keith and Daniel, April and Eric (Candice); great grandchildren, Kayson, Eli, Zamarah, Keira, Brooks and Beau; very special friend, Tammy McConnell and special nieces, Melanie Whaley and Tracy Beard. She will truly be loved and missed by all of her nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to Hospice of Chattanooga for their compassion and care of mom. A special thank you to Chris Plemons, Lee Young, Blake Guthrie, and mom's nurses. Mom's aides, Felecia Pruitt and Heather Vining. Also, Angel Moody, Lecia Guthrie, Farrah Still and Pansy Gamble.
A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024 at 6:00 pm at Lebanon Baptist Church with Pastor David Peters and Dewayne True officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm prior to the service.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 11:00 am at Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery with Jeremy Jones, Dave Ricketts, Eric Wilson, Aaron Wilson, Kenny Cain, Kent Broomfield, and Stephen Mowery serving as pallbearers.
