Shirley Yarbrough Obituary
Quietly on December 27, 2023 the labors of love that were given by Shirley Ann Teel Yarbrough quietly came to a close at her residence. Shirley was born to John Teel and Lucille Matkins Teel on September 30, 1944 in Alamance County North Carolina. Shirley was a graduate of Jordan Sellars High School with a Class of 1962 and she was a Patroller with Fairystone Fabrics located in Burlington North Carolina. Shirley was formally a member of First Baptist Church Apple Street where she attended as long as her health allowed her to do so. She was married to Mr. James Hulon Yarbrough until his passing on February 23, 1973.
If you knew Shirley, you had no other choice, but to love her because she had her own particular way of doing things and it was a necessity that those things were done her way and her way only. We loved Shirley and we will miss her and cannot await until we all are reunited again on that great getting up morning.
The tapestry of her love and devotion will forever be woven into the hearts and minds of her surviving sisters: Ms. June Teel Blackwell, Ms. Connie Teel Johnson, and Mrs. Pamela Teel Wright, along with a host of nieces and nephews other relatives and dear friends.
In her passing she joins her parents, her husband, James, and two sisters, Mary Lee Teel, and Mrs. Evelyn Teel Miles.
