Shizue "Susie" K. Clark, age 93 of Corning, New York passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025 at Guthrie Corning Corning Hospital. She was born on April 28, 1931 in Kyoto, Japan. She married Carroll "Carl" Clark on Dec. 19, 1952 in Kyoto, Japan. They moved to the United States in November of 1953. Carl predeceased her in October of 1995.
She loved playing cards, crocheting afghans for the VA Hospital, and visiting friends.
Shizue is survived by two children: Bill (Terry) Clark of Big Flats, NY, Susan (Marvin Geyer) Bellgraph of Watkins Glen, NY; grandchildren: Tiffany(Mike) Palm, Kim Clark, Michael (Missy) Clark, Daniel ( Dan Lynch) Bellgraph, Aaron (Sona) Greene, Evan Greene; great-grandchildren: Tyler, Maddie, Hayden, Joey, Sakari, and Logan; sisters- in-law: Beverly Clark, Cleda Clark, Gloria Clark, Marjorie Shauger Kimble; special friends that became family: the Crocker sisters- Carol, MaryAnne, Judy and Kathy.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by brothers-in-law: Kenneth Clark, Frank Clark, Larry Clark; sisters-in-law: Winnie Demonstoy and Lena Hurlburt.
A private family graveside will be held in Rural Home Cemetery in Big Flats, NY. Carpenter's Funeral Home has been entrusted with her final arrangements.
