A memory!!! My first was after a snow storm when Rick,Lori and Emma came to Virginia Bells home to shovel her driveway. They had to park in the street. My driveway was mostly done and I offered Rick my driveway to park on. He and Lori came over and helped finish mine so they could park their car on my driveway. While shoveling Rick and Lori picked on each other making me laugh and then I expressed my concern about Lori´s mom walking to her mailbox using a metal yardstick to help her in not losing her balance while measuring the snow on her way! Lori gave me her cell number in case I ever witnessed something happened to her while doing something that could cause her to fall or get hurt, Rick immediately added his number too! He showed me that day his sense of humor, he jumped into action helping with driveways and how much he cared for the loved ones in his family.
Years later the Hoyt family started attending our church, we have had a lot of laughs in that back section of the sanctuary. The arms around each other as that sat side by side with a little extra coaxing! How they each reach over to "fix" each other´s hair! Rick´s black shirt that he wore one church service which had me bring something to add to it, private joke, but it was funny! Rick always knew how to make people laugh and smile. He´ll be so missed in our little back corner but I have some fond memories.
My thoughts and prayers go to Lori, Tyler and Emma and their families.
Love to you all, Debbie Clevenstine
