He was a retired custodian with The Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind (FSDB). He was also an alligator wrestler with the Alligator Farm in St. Augustine.
He is survived by his Loving Daughter, LaShet A. Johnson. Silbert Johnson, Aretha Valdez, Lynetta Wideman, Shirley (Larry)Bodie. Sister-in-law, Bertha Elmore. Brother-in-law, Clifford Elmore. A host of loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of loving friends.
A viewing will be held Friday, July 5, 2024, from 3-6 p.m. at St. Paul A.M.E Church 85 Martin Luther King Ave. St. Augustine, Fl. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 6, 2024, at 12 p.m. at St. Paul A.M.E Church 85 M.L. King Avenue, St. Augustine, Fl. Those unable to attend the services can go to their Facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/StPaulStAug/.
Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery immediately following services.
Those desiring may leave messages of condolence and encouragement by going to his tribute page at: https://www.stjohnsfamilyfuneralhome.com/. Services are entrusted to St. Johns Family Funeral Home of St. Augustine, Florida.
