Sofia Tsilfides Obituary

Sofia was born in Crimea, Russia on August 14, 1939, to the late Ioannis and Aikaterini Saxpazaridis. She immigrated to Greece in 1940 and settled in Agios Loukas - Nomos Pellas.
On August 11, 1963, she married Achilleas Tsilfides and they immigrated to Norwalk, CT in 1965.
She worked many factory jobs and she settled at Pepperidge Farm until she retired in 2000.
After losing her husband her main focus became her grandchildren, whom she loved and adored.
Sofia is pre-deceased by her siblings: Georgios, Despina, Paresa Xanthopoulos (Lazaros), Nikolaos, Eleni and Simela Radis (Antonios).
She leaves behind her three children: Anna and husband Kiriakos Kiriakides, Kathy Tsilfides and George A. Tsilfides - three grandchildren: Vera, Sophia, and Georgia Kiriakides - a brother-in-law, three sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 23, 2023, at 11:00 AM at St. George Greek orthodox Church, 238 West Rocks Road, Norwalk. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery, 223 Richards Avenue, Norwalk. Friends may visit with the family on Monday from 10:00 AM until the service.
