Sondra Jean Newell Sharp, 57, of Surfside Beach, SC, formerly of North Huntingdon, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2024 at Grand Strand Medical Center, Myrtle Beach, SC. She was born January 25, 1967 in Jeannette, and is the daughter of R. Terence "Terry" & Carol (Gilbert) Newell of North Huntingdon. She was a graduate of Norwin High School class of 1985 and of Bradford Business School. Sondra loved to travel and was a real estate agent in Ohio, Colorado, California, and South Carolina. She also worked as an administrative assistant for law practices in Washington, DC and California. Sondra is remembered by her family as being exceptionally giving, talented, and creative with incredible fashion sense. Her husband, Paul, always said she was a wonderful cook, and they enjoyed entertaining. She also loved all animals and cared for many that needed her comfort. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her best friend and beloved husband Paul H. Sharp, her brother Bruce (Heather) Newell, and nieces Kendra Newell and Brooke Newell (Joseph) Wright. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends and her loyal dog Jonny. Family & friends are welcome Thursday, October 24, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. Sondra’s funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Sarah Lee-Faulkner of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church on Friday, October 25, 2024 at 10 am in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at the Penn Lincoln Memorial Park, North Huntingdon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 502 Main Street, Irwin. PA 15642 or Animal Friends, 562 Camp Horne Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15237. Condolences may be made at Gilbertfuneralhomeandcrematory
