Sonia E. Fernandez, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 89 on Saturday, April 26, 2025, in Orlando, Florida.
Sonia was a woman of grace, strength, and unwavering love. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, William Fernandez, who preceded her in death.
Her memory will be forever cherished by her children: Elizabeth Perez and her husband Ivan, Evelyn Kayser and her husband John, and William II Fernandez and his wife Amy. Sonia’s greatest joy was her family. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Ivania McCaffrey and her husband Michael, John Kayser and his wife Tara, Ilyssa Perez-Pexa and her husband Phillip , Kassandra Florio and her husband Antonio, Abigail Fernandez, and Ben Fernandez. Her legacy continues through her precious great-grandchildren: Mia McCaffrey, Logan Kayser, Ella Pexa, and Lily Kayser. Sonia is also lovingly remembered by her sister, Carmen Pinero, brother, Carlos Sosa and many nieces and nephews.
Sonia’s life was a beautiful example of devotion, kindness, and resilience. She touched the hearts of everyone who knew her and leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and family values that will endure for generations to come.
Private services will be held by her family as they honor her life in an intimate gathering of remembrance.
