Sonia was born February 1, 1937, in Kansas City, KS, to Tony and Mary Malko. She maintained strong friendships with her classmates from St. Joseph's Grade School and Bishop Ward High School. After spending years as a stay-home mom, Sonia worked various jobs before working as the receptionist/bookkeeper for Hair Magicians. She was a dedicated member of Christ the King's Altar Society and Little Flower Circle. Her passion was her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her beautiful yard always full of amazing flowers.
She is preceded in death by her husband Donald of 58 years, her brother Tony Robolewicz, and sister-in-law Clara Robolewicz. She is survived by three daughters: Linda (Doug) Hedge, Debbie (Mike) Castro, and Mary Ann Grodowitz; grandchildren: Brian (Shelli) Hedge, Andrew (Erica) Hedge, Haylee (Chase) Westheffer, John Castro, and Jane Castro; and great grandchildren: Lucas Hedge, Leo Hedge, and Willa Westheffer, and many beloved nieces and their families.
The family would like to thank her amazing neighbors that loved and protected her and the many workers from Catholic Community Health Hospice and Villa St. Francis that helped her in her final months.
