A Waddy resident, Mrs. Sonsura Jeppson, age 61, passed away Friday, May 2, 2025 at Norton Hosparus Inpatient Care Center. She was born May 27, 1963 in Louisville to the late Aaron Decker "A.D." and Minie Ethel Sweazy Stump. Sonsura was a homemaker and member of Chaplin Baptist Church. She loved her animals and crafts; she enjoyed making quilts and flower arrangements. She also found great joy in helping her mother and sister with Sunday school. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 siblings, William Edward Stump, Ethel Mae Simpson and Aaron Decker Stump, Jr. She is survived by her husband, Jeff Jeppson, 7 sisters, Fay (Tim) Martin of Borden, IN., Rita (Troy) Kimball of Willisburg, Vickie Steele, Debbie Kimball, Trina (Danny) Kimball, Paula (Tim) Kimball, all of Shepherdsville, Sheila (Mohammad) Al-Moria of Louisville, her brother, Tony Kimball of Louisville, her special dog, Lady Bug and her dove, Noel. Funeral services for Mrs. Sonsura Jeppson will be 12:00 noon Monday, May 12, 2025 at the Greenwell-Houghlin Funeral Home in Taylorsville. Bro. Marlin Kimball will officiate. Interment will be in Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, May 11, 2025 from 3:00-6:00 pm. Additional visitation will be Monday after 10:00 am until time of the funeral service. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the donors local Humane Society. The Greenwell-Houghlin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
