SOPHIE MARCH FAZEL
Sophie March Fazel, 17, of the Kansas City Northland, passed away January 7, 2024.
Sophie was born November 8, 2006, in Overland Park, KS, the eldest of four children of Andrew David and Ashley Erin (Crain) Fazel. Sophie moved to the Liberty area with her family 10 years ago, where she attended Alexander Doniphan Elementary, South Valley Middle, and was currently a Junior at Liberty North High School. She was active in Liberty Special Olympics basketball and track.
Sophie leaves her mom and dad, Ashley and Andy Fazel; sister, Scarlett (9), and twin brothers, Spencer and Sam (4); grandparents, Patty and Steve Webb, and David Fazel; aunts and uncles, Alison and Andy Welch, Scott Crain and Shay Robinson, and Bill and Amy Crain; as well as numerous cousins, other family members and friends. She is preceded in death by grandparents, Carol and Bill Crain.
Her family and friends will miss Sophie's one-liners and "Sophieisms" as only she could share. She loved anything red, and anything Mario. She was deeply loved and will forever remain in the hearts of all the lives touched by her.
A celebration of life for Sophie will be held from 5-8 pm Tuesday, January 23, at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, 1600 North State Route 291, Liberty, MO. Please use east entrance.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to CHD Families (Congenital Heart Defects Families Association) chdfamilies.org or to PRISMS (Parents and Researchers interested in Smith-Magenis Syndrome) prisms.org.
