Stacey Lynn (Berry) Childers, 47, passed away on March 4th, 2025, in Ravenna, Ohio. Born in Akron, Ohio on March 1st, 1978 to her loving mother Marsha Ann (Cain) Fletcher.
Stacey was a devoted mother, sister, and friend. She was an active member of the Mogadore community, where she dedicated much of her time to the Mogadore Youth Baseball and Softball program, serving as Treasurer and contributing in numerous other ways to support young athletes. She was known for her generosity, dedication, and passion for helping others.
Beyond her community involvement, Stacey was a hardworking and accomplished individual. She earned an Associate's Degree in Accounting and used her skills to assist others both professionally and personally. She quickly rose through the ranks in her career as a Long- and Short-term Disability Specialist at UNUM Insurance Co. Her kindness, humor, and unwavering support for those she loved will always be remembered.
Stacey had a love for cooking and found joy in preparing meals for her family and friends. She also had a deep love for the beach, cherishing trips to the ocean where she could relax, soak in the sunshine, and listen to the waves. These were some of her happiest moments, and her love for both food and the sea will be fondly remembered by those who knew her best.
Stacey is survived by her beloved children Cynthia Childers, Nicholas Childers, and Jacquelyn Childers; her husband Jeffery Childers; her mother Marsha (Cain) Fletcher; her sister Stephanie (Berry) Delong; and her neice and nephews Amanda (Wertman) Overholt, Zachary Delong, and Ryan Delong. She was a loving great-aunt to Rylee Overholt, Haylee Overholt, Jeremey Overholt, Olivia Overholt, and Giana Potento.
Stacey touched the lives of many, and her warmth and kindness will be deeply missed by her extended family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
