Stanford Allen Mountain

Standford Allen Mountain was born in Missouri in 1965. He attended Hirschi High School and attained his GED afterwards. He was an enrolled member of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe. He started as a painter in Wichita Falls with his brother and worked for several contractors before venturing out on his own and eventually worked his way up to new home construction. From there, he built up his own business, Mountain Construction. He was a member of the North Texas Home Builders Association as well as a frequent participant in the Parade of Homes; and his work has left a lasting impact on the community. His work is prominently displayed all throughout the city of Wichita Falls and surrounding areas. He was an avid Cowboys fan.
After a protracted illness, on October 27, 2024, Stan joined his parents-Joan Mountain and Francis White Mountain in death, his older sister Marletta Mountain Torrence, his older sister Tonya White Mountain, and his younger sister Sandra Mountain Welch. He is survived by his eldest son Joshua Mountain, wife Jaredene, their daughter Ella and sons Greysen and Bennett; Stan's youngest son Brody Mountain, wife Cortney, and daughters Henley and Heidi. He is also survived by his older brother Rocky White Mountain and his wife Emily, their daughter Crystal Merkel and husband Kris, daughters Ava and Mia; also Rocky and Emily's son Matthew White Mountain and his daughter Remy; and his older sister Sonya White Mountain. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles as well as a host of brothers and sisters in Christ.
