Stanley F. Czepiel, Jr., age 65, of Taunton, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, surrounded by his loving family at Morton Hospital. He was the husband of Betty Anne (McLaughlin) Czepiel.
Born and raised in Taunton, he was the son of the late Stanley F. and Shirley (Silver) Czepiel.
Stan was a 1977 graduate of Taunton High School. He devoted his career to serve the people of Taunton as a professional firefighter, retiring in 2013 after thirty years of dedicated service.
He enjoyed spending time with friends and family and was a longtime member of the Polish American Citizens Club, serving on its Board of Directors for many years, including a period as Record Secretary. Stanley was also an active member of the Portuguese American Civic Club and Sons of the American Legion.
In addition to his wife Betty Anne, he is survived by his son Christopher Czepiel and his wife Danielle Littmann of Weymouth; his sister Donna McCormack and her husband Rick of Taunton; a brother Michael Czepiel and his wife Darlene of Middleborough; his brother in law George McLaughlin of Taunton; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brother Frank Czepiel.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to visit with Stan’s family on Friday, January 3, 2025 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, at Sowiecki-Snyder Home for Funerals, 69 West Britannia Street, Taunton.
His funeral will begin at the funeral home on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 7:45 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am, in Holy Rosary Church, 80 Bay Street, Taunton. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Taunton.
