It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Stanley Thomas Hammack, Sr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, and friend. Stanley was born on Monday, March 29th, 1971, in Portsmouth, Virginia, and peacefully departed this life on Friday, September 12th, 2025, in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He was 54 years old.

A resident of Jeffersonville, Stanley was known for his charismatic spirit, infectious laughter, and unwavering dedication to his family and friends. He was a proud Hoosier, passionate about Indiana sports, enjoyed gambling and relished the camaraderie of playing pool and talking trash with his friends over a cold beer.

Stanley's journey was a tapestry woven with love, adventure, and commitment. As a foreman, his strong work ethic was admired by those around him. His involvement with organizations such as the Knights of Columbus in Jeffersonville and the Kaydee Sue Foundation highlighted his commitment to serving his community.

He is survived by his loving wife, Courtney Hammack, his parents, Michael Hammack (Cindy) and Marcia Hammack, his cherished son, Stanley Hammack, Jr. and wife Michelle, his brother, Greg Weir and treasured granddaughter, Kinsley Hammack. Stanley also leaves his step-daughters, Brooke Greenwood and husband Austin and their two sons, Brittany Shafer and husband Brandon and their five daughters, and step-son, Jayden Barger. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, who will carry his memory forward.

Stanley found joy in golfing, riding motorcycles, and spending time in nature, especially during his early years when he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a man who relished the simple pleasures of life, finding joy and connection with those he held dear.

Family and friends are invited to honor Stanley's life at a visitation at Garr Funeral Home (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172), on Wednesday, September 17th, 2025, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, followed immediately by a funeral service at the same location at 5:00 pm. Memorial contributions can be made to; Kaydee Sue Foundation (11006 IN-60, Speed, IN 47172).
