Stanley Heard

Stanley Heard passed away on December 4, 2025 in Searcy, Arkansas. He was born to Herbert Ray Heard and Viola Potter Heard on May 2, 1945 in Durant, Oklahoma.

The Heard family moved to Searcy in 1960 and founded the Heard Sausage Company. Stanley worked in the family business at a younger age. He and Elizabeth graduated from Searcy High School in 1964, and became united as one on August 28, 1966. They began their journey, travelling with the Air Force to Florida, enduring challenges, embracing a new life ahead for the next couple years.

Once he completed his time in the Air Force, he began his career at Arnolds Beauty and Barber Supply. He enjoyed interacting with and meeting people, he led the sales for the company for many years. In later years, he became part of the administrative team in the factory. He led the team with pride and instilled core values with each worker.

He retired from the company and enjoyed spending his days at home with his love, Elizabeth. Together they went on adventures together, enjoying golfing, fishing, and being outdoors together.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Martha Evans, and numerus aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is survived by the love of his life of 59 years, Elizabeth Heard and their fur baby, Jack.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 7, 2025 from 12:00- 2:00 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home in Searcy with services following at 2:00 p.m.

Interment will be Monday, December 8, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at White County Memorial Gardens.
