Lisa Ann Short

Lisa Ann Short, born February 26, 1965 passed away on February 24, 2026. Lisa was the youngest daughter of Wayne and Joann Wheetley. Lisa is sister to Mona Coots, Johnny Wheetley, and Debbie Isom. She was raised in Judsonia, Arkansas, being taught godly values like family, hard work, and compassion. Being the youngest in the house, Lisa was soft-spoken during her younger years. Lisa excelled at school and graduated as valedictorian from Judsonia High School in 1983.

Lisa spent the last 20 years working her way up through the mortgage department at First Security Bank in Searcy, where she works with people that she loves. She is a member of Highway Church of Christ.

Lisa was married to Bruce Short for 40 years. She has one son Aaron Short and one granddaughter Ruby Short.

Lisa is preceded in death by her father Wayne Wheetley, brothers-in-law Gary Short and Danny Isom, and parents-in-law Ruby and Richard Short. She is survived by her husband Bruce, mother Joann (Joe), sisters Mona (Don) and Debbie, brother Johnny (Fredese), son Aaron (Jennifer), and granddaughter Ruby.

All the members of her family and those she has adopted into her life will greatly miss her and await the day when they meet with her again in heaven.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Highway Church of Christ in Judsonia.
