Stanley Roy Hunter, Sr., 90, a native of Golden Meadow, LA and a resident of Cut Off, LA entered eternal rest with Jesus on October 5, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.
Visitation will be held at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home, in Raceland, LA on Thursday, October 9th from 10 am until 12 noon. Graveside services will be held in Barrios Cemetery in Valentine, La.
Stanley is survived by his children: Farrel (Annette) Cheramie, Jacklyn Stevens, Stanley Hunter II, Jeffery (Stephanie) Hunter, and Belinda (Russell) Cheramie. Grandchildren: Brad, Rachel, Josh, April, Stanley III, Hollie, Haley, and Robin, and 18 great grandchildren.
Stanley was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Jane Toups Hunter, parents: Enes Hunter and Aline Autin Hunter, Siblings: brothers, Morris and Enes (E.J.) Hunter, sister, Earline Hunter Bouffanie.
He was a member of the Lafourche Lodge 427, New Orleans Scottish Rite and Lafourche Shrine Club. Stanley was a local, general contractor. He was a loving father and grandfather.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
