Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Stanley John Hebert, Sr., 81, who passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024.
Visitation hours will be observed at Walters Funeral Home on Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. until time of service at 4:00 p.m. A private family graveside service will take place in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
Stanley is survived by two daughters, Andrea Hebert of Lafayette, and Shantel Arton (Paul) of Erath; four sons, Wayne Hebert of Lafayette, Stanley Hebert Jr. of Lafayette, Christopher “Slate” Hebert of Erath, and Shannon Hebert (Belinda) of Abbeville; one step-daughter, Sandy Sellers; one step-son, Chad Broussard; 14 grandchildren, Jason Broussard, Christopher Broussard, Shanee Bourliea, Lauren Hebert, Farin Hebert, Tyler Hebert, Reid Hebert, Grant Hebert, Michaela Hebert, Yazmine Hebert, Zaiah Hebert, Tori Handy, Bailey Arton, and Juliana Arton; six step-grandchildren, Lauren Louivere, Alexis Broussard, Brennan Broussard, Derek Delcambre, Drake Delcambre, and Brentny Gathers; 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Cheryl Hebert; his parents, Walter and Amelite Hebert; his brothers and sisters, Eugene Hebert, Honora Hebert, Ferdinand Hebert, Sandrus Hebert, Raymond Hebert, Walter Hebert, Percy Hebert, Ernest Hebert, Bernice Hebert Vincent, Edward "Ray" Hebert; and one step-daughter, Mona Latiolais.
Stanley had a passion for Cajun music and was well known in the community. He played the Accordion in his band “Tee Stan and His Cajun Band.” He loved to dance, garden, fish, and hunt. But most of all, he loved his animals! He loved his family and cherished the time he spent with them.
