Stanley M. "Stan" Nertavich, 92, of West Lawn went to paradise to join his wife on Monday, July 15, 2024. He was the devoted husband of Shirley Mae (Eddinger) Nertavich, who passed away on December 21, 2017. They were married for 65 glorious years.
Born in Mahony City, PA, he was the son of the late Michael S. and Sophia M. (Kausas) Nertavich. He was a 1950 graduate of Reading High School and attended Reading Area Community College. Stan was a Navy veteran serving during the Korean Conflict as a Record Aerology Weatherman. He was later employed as an Optician by Dr. Benjamin Souders and Reading Optical. He was also a Fellow of Contact Lens Society of America.
He was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield.
Stan enjoyed many things such as: fishing, scuba diving, boating, photography, cruising and spending time raising his children with his wife. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be missed by all who knew him.
Stan is survived by his daughter, Susan M. Rosen of Boston, MA, brother, Michael Nertavich of New Orleans, LA, four grandchildren, and great-grandchild.
He was predeceased by his son, Stanley M. Nertavich Jr., his daughter, Shirley M. Kondrath, his granddaughter, Samantha J. Graybill, as well as his brother, Vincent P. Nertavich.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ignatius Loyola R.C.C., 2810 St. Albans Rd., Sinking Spring, PA 19608 with burial at Gethsemane Cemetery to follow. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the start of Mass at the church.

Loved this man! Was a care giver of his . He loved to dance and sing. All the women loved him. We were fellow Lithuanian and coal crackers. Always welcomed me with a smile and a kiss! He will be missed greatly by all that new him.
