Stanley P. "Stan" Ochs, 56, passed away at his home in Montgomery the morning of July 19, 2024. He was born in Santa Ana, California, August 7, 1967, to Francis J." Frank" and Sharon (Grannan) Ochs.
Stan was a 1987 graduate of North Daviess High School. He had been employed at the railroad. A man of many interests, Stan loved to draw and paint on glass, and enjoyed motorcycles. It was no secret that he liked his beer and whiskey.
Those who now mourn Stan's passing include his mother, Sharon Ochs; children: Courtney (Zach Vaught) Ochs of Elnora; Nick Ochs of Elnora; Tayla (Paul Ferguson) Ochs of Elnora; and Audrey Ochs of Washington. Stan was blessed with eight grandchildren: Elliott Vaught; Elise Vaught; Kaidence Sanders; Rylee Ferguson; Makenzy Ferguson; Lennox Ferguson; Raelyn Ferguson; and Levi Ferguson. Additionally, he leaves a brother, Matthew "Chuck" Ochs of Washington; aunt, Carol Anderson, cousins: Dewain Anderson; Andy Anderson; David Phillips; Joe and Lynn Phillips; Kim Phillips; nephews: Damon Ochs, Jake Ochs, and Nicholas Ochs; nieces: Brittany (Berchel) Helton, and Barchell Summers.
Stan was preceded in death by his father, Francis "Frank" Ochs; and a brother, Frankie "Jim" Ochs.
There will be no services.
