Stanley Warren Sellers

Stanley Warren Sellers, 81, of El Campo, passed away on November 2, 2025. He was born on September 27, 1944 in El Campo to the late Clyde and Ethel Olson Sellers. Stanley was a graduate of the El Campo High School Class of 1962. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and retired from South Texas Nuclear Plant. He was a member of St. Philip Catholic Church, American Legion Post 251 and the El Campo Knights of Columbus Council 2490. His hobbies included reading western books, watching old western movies and gardening.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Kathryn Nohavitza Sellers of El Campo; son, Douglas Sellers (Caroline) of Houston; daughter, Rebecca Sellers Crowell (John) of El Campo; son-in-law, Wick Baker of Bastrop; granddaughters, Abigail Sellers of Dallas, Julianne Sellers of Memphis, TN, Claire Crowell of Tuscaloosa, AL, Anne Sellers of Houston, Charlotte Waltermire of Baton Rouge, LA and Heather Baker of North Carolina; grandsons, Hayes Baker (Kristi) of Kennesaw, GA, Ryan Baker of North Carolina and Jackson Waltermire of Houston; sisters-in-law, Irene Nohavitza of El Campo and Sheryl Sellers of Hanford, CA and numerous nieces and nephews.
Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C.C. Sellers; in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. J.J. Nohavitza; daughter, Kristi Sellers Baker; daughter-in-law, Tracye Ford Sellers; brothers, Albin Sellers, Cecil Sellers and Emil Sellers; brothers-in-law, Jarrell Nohavitza and Donald Nohavitza and sisters-in-law, Ruth Schafer, Dorothy Kubala and Rita Kresta.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, November 6 at Triska Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 7 at St. Philip Catholic Church. The funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Dalton Ervin officiating. Burial with military honors under the auspices of the American Legion Post 251 will follow at St. John's Cemetery in New Taiton.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Nohavitza, Shannon Srubar, Greg Kresta, Glenn Nohavitza, Hayes Baker and Slate Srubar. Honorary pallbearers will be the American Legion Post 251 Honor Guard Members and the 42 Domino Club.
Memorial donations in memory of Stanley may be made to St. Philip Catholic Church.
