Stanley Wayne Snider, 62, a beloved farmer, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky. He was born on February 16, 1962 in Owenton, Owen County, Kentucky, to Fred S. Snider and Patsy K. (Gulley) Snider and lived a life dedicated to family, hardwork, and his passions.
Stanley was a devoted father to his surviving children, including two daughters, Mary Beth (Barry) Smither of Gratz, KY, and Hayley (Jarrod) Carey of Lawrenceburg, KY, and a son, Cody Wayne (Megan) Snider of Lockport, KY. He is also survived by his parents, Fred S. and Patsy K. (Gulley) Snider of Gratz, KY, his sister, Kathy Craigmyle of Pleasureville, KY, a brother, Bryan S. Snider of Owenton, KY, and several nieces and nephews. Stanley's love for his family was evident in every aspect of his life, cherished and nurturing a close relationship with his eight surviving grandchildren. His legacy of love will endure in the hearts of those he leaves behind. Stanley's journey was not without its difficulties. He was predeceased by a daughter, Alisha Brooke Snider, who remains lovingly remembered in the hearts of those who knew her.
Stanley was a person of strong character and dedication, known not only for his work as a farmer but also for his keen interest in playing softball and gardening. His passion for raising vegetables and flowers brought him joy and beauty, which he shared generously with family and friends. He was a member of the United Baptist Church in Gratz, KY.
Visitation will be held at Sholar-Riley Funeral Home, located at 5710 Castle Hwy, Pleasureville, KY 40057, on Saturday, November 30, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at the same location starting at 1:00 PM. Burial will be in the Pleasureville Cemetery.
Stanley Wayne Snider’s spirit will continue to live on through the lives he touched and the cherished memories created with his family. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered with love.
Memorial gifts may be given to Hosparus Health of Louisville. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Sholar-Riley Funeral Home.
