STANLEY WALTER SPEED, SR.

Stanley Walter Speed, Sr., age 71, entered peacefully into eternal rest on Saturday, December 6, 2025. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Avondale, LA. Stanley was a 1972 graduate of West Jefferson High School and was a retired Crane Operator. Stanley was also employed with NOLA Motor Sports. Beloved husband of the late Linda Speed. Devoted father of Stanley Speed, Jr., Derell Speed, Sr., Ulesses (Crystal) Speed, Sr., Eric (Ireon) Speed, Lamar (Angelica) Speed, Sr. Kendrick (Tirelle) Speed, Sr., and Daniel Speed. Son of the late Walter and Hester Speed. Brother of Vincenne Speed, Tegre Lemon, Tyron (Ann) Prevost, Emanuel (Cathy) Speed, Michael Speed, and the late Graylin Speed, Norris “Shorty” Prevost, David Speed, and Barbara Ann Prevost. Stanely is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA on Monday, December 22, 2025, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the parlor.
