Stanley Zeigler White, age 89, was born on February 10, 1935, in the town of Apalachicola, FL. He passed away on April 27, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and service. He was the third of four children to Stanley Franklin White and Willie Zeigler White.
Stanley's journey through life was marked by remarkable achievements. He is survived by his devoted wife, Chance and her daughter, Tabitha.
A hard-working father, Stanley leaves behind his three children: Judith White, Stanley F. White, and Steven White, all of California.
Stanley was blessed to be a grandfather to Stanley Z. White II, Xavier White, and Wren Grant, telling them endless stories and jokes, and providing them with a legacy of success they will continue.
Although Stanley's siblings, Evangeline Tolliver, Zeigler White, and Laura Trimmings, preceded him in death, their memories continued to live on in his heart, a testament to their enduring bond.
Stanley's journey of service began with a sense of duty and honor. After graduating from Duquesne University with a degree in accounting, he answered the call to serve his country, receiving a commission as an officer in the U.S. Army. After 22 years of service, he retired with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
Never one to rest on his laurels, Stanley embarked on a new adventure, pursuing a second career in law. He attended the School of Law at Campbell University in North Carolina. After passing the bar, he relocated to California, where he established his own law firm.
In addition to his family and career, Stanley found joy in the simple pleasures of life. An avid fan of the Los Angeles Lakers, he cheered on his team with unwavering enthusiasm. He found joy in the company of family and friends, engaging in spirited card games. He also had a love of classical music.
The memory of Stanley Zeigler White will be honored at a memorial service on Saturday, May 18th, from 2 to 3 pm, at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in Stanley's memory.
