Stanton Taylor Obituary

Stanton George "Stan" Taylor, 67 years old, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 4, 2024, at Citizens Memorial Health Care Facility in Bolivar.

Stan was Heaven's special child born in Humansville, on March 11, 1956, to Billy and Phyllis Taylor. He attended Dadeville High School and graduated in 1974. Stan was a member of Bona Church of Christ.

Stan was preceded in death by his parents Billy and Phyllis (Rotrock) Taylor and his stillborn brother Larry Taylor.

Stan is survived by his two brothers, Gary Taylor of Aldrich and Philip and Cathy Taylor of Springfield; his nieces Christie Ruzicka (Taylor), Carla Eubanks (Taylor) and Sara Christian (Taylor); his nephew Scott Taylor; his great-nephews Jacob, Seth and Ethan Eubanks, Landon and Luke Taylor; his great-nieces Madison and Elise Christian.

Stan was a very pure, genuine, and loving-hearted individual who loved to help everyone around his neighborhood. Stan used to mow lawns, pick walnuts and blackberries to share with everyone around. Many neighbors enjoyed his cheerful and joyful spirit and also the delicious cobblers they used to make with the fresh blackberries that he picked.

He was very social and loved to visit and catch up with the local news, he also enjoyed visiting and putting puzzles together with his friend Jennifer who is also Heaven's special child, and her mother Karen who stays in their family's vacation home by the lake close to Stan's house.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, at Bona Church of Christ in Bona. Burial will follow at Bona Cemetery.

Services are under the care and direction of Butler Funeral Home of Bolivar.
